About COP28

The 2023 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP28)will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 30 November to 12 December 2023. The sponsors will help Youth Philanthropy support more than 10 global youth leaders to participate in the Yousi Youth Leaders Side event at COP 28, to engage more youth leaders in the global climate change decision-making and planning process, and to support the UN’s efforts to accelerate global action to address the climate crisis.

  • The United Nations Climate Change Conference is the highest decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, responsible for setting the overall direction of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, negotiating and adopting a new climate change agreement
  • The United Nations Climate Change Conference is the world’s largest and most important annual climate-related conference, which has been held annually since 1995 and will be held in Dubai in 2023, COP28
  • The Conference has successfully negotiated many important agreements, including the 1997 Kyoto Protocol and the 2015 Paris Agreement.
  • The Congress is usually attended by more than 30,000 people, including government officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations and journalists. For example, COP26 has more than 40,000 attendees from 120 countries

China Pavilion

China Pavilion was set up during the conference to implement the work requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on implementing the national strategy to actively respond to climate change, strengthen external publicity and cooperation and exchanges on climate change, and support the climate change negotiations of the Chinese government delegation.

China Pavilion is located in the Blue Zone of COP28. The Blue Zone is a UNFCCC-managed site, open to accredited party and observer delegates. It hosts the formal negotiations, as well as panel discussions, speaking events and cultural events across the two weeks of the conference.

Youth Climate Action advocates from more than 140 countries and territories attended the Youth Climate Action Summit to share their solutions on the global stage.
